Mission
To help ESL learners speak and understand natural English like native speakers through fun, affordable, supportive group classes that build a sense of belonging.

Vision
To become the go-to online community where learners grow and gain confidence together using real-world English in a friendly, low-cost group setting.

Purpose
To make language learning enjoyable by creating a budget-friendly shared space where everyone feels connected and secure using everyday native English.

The team at Marie Claire ESL understands that many English learners study by reading books by western writers or by watching North American TV shows and movies with subtitles in their free time. This can help you improve your pronunciation and learn some new words. But often, you may only understand about 60 to 70 percent of the story. You understand the main idea, but you might miss some of the most interesting details. We have a great solution for that! Join one of our English conversations clubs with a fun twist!

Now you can read books and watch movies together with other ESL learners and native English speakers who will help explain the special expressions, collocations, idioms, and phrasal verbs that we use in everyday life. Practicing your listening in this friendly group will help you understand how we speak naturally and learn more of the interesting details in English.

Our team of tutors has created fun book clubs for ESL learners to enjoy some great English stories in many different genres. We also help you learn by watching North American videos, movies, and TV shows with you. And the best part? You can do all of this from the comfort of your own home!

There are three main benefits to learning English as a second language in a group setting:

1. Affordable Pricing

Group classes are more affordable for language learners because the price of one class is shared among several people. Each student’s personal cost is lower here than it is when taking individual one-on-one classes.

2. Supportive Friendship

When you study together with other language learners, you will feel that support and connection around you. You can feed off each other’s positive energy on those days when you’re just not feeling it yourself … something we all experience sometimes.

3. Interactive Fun

Watching videos and discussing books with friends is more fun than doing it all alone. Don’t you agree? Practicing English in a more interactive and social environment can be more enjoyable, not to mention motivational!

We mix intermediate (B1–B2) and advanced (C1/C2) English learners together in the same online book or movie clubs. Why? Because of all the rewards for everyone!

This mixed-level format is effective when an ESL tutor uses the strengths of each student to support learning (abridgeacademy.com). Advanced students often make the discussion richer by helping the tutor explain or translate words for others. At the same time, intermediate students ask questions and show enthusiasm for learning. In the end, everyone practices English together in an online classroom that is affordable, friendly, and supportive.
